Our Story
LichWood was born from unique circumstances. In 2017, Northern California was brutalized by wildfires. The Tubbs fire ravaged our hometown leaving Katie’s parents and many close friends with devastating losses.
As a coping mechanism, Katie spent more and more time woodworking in her home garage- building many beautiful items for those suffering from the trauma that was Tubbs.
Over time, Katie has focused her talents into creating beautiful, quality cutting, cheese and charcuterie boards, as well as chopping blocks. Now a Mom & Mom operation, Katie, her wife Heidi, and their two teenage boys work together to beautify kitchens, one board at a time!
Profits from LichWood sales go toward college funds for Katie & Heidi’s twin sons, as well as their two nieces and one nephew.
